Why people are stuck today
PDFs aren't enough
Clients want to zoom, click and share a link, not download a 40 MB export.
Servers are overkill
GeoServer or QGIS Server means a VPS, updates and a monthly bill, just to show one map.
SaaS gets expensive
Hosted map platforms charge per view or per seat, and lock your data in.
What's in the kit

Built by someone who ships maps in production
I'm M, a GIS developer with an MSc in GIS & Remote Sensing. I built routing and geocoding infrastructure for a large ride-hailing platform, and I host a national basemap for Sri Lanka on Cloudflare, the same kind of setup this kit teaches.
Early-access price
Lifetime updates. 14-day refund if it doesn't get your map online.
See it working
Every power plant in the world, about 35,000 of them, coloured by fuel and sized by capacity, plus a country view of renewable share. Styled in QGIS, exported and published with one click. Colours, legend, sizes, popups and search all come straight from the QGIS project.

Questions
Do I need to know JavaScript?
No. Everything happens in a QGIS window: tick your layers, click Create web map, get a link. If you want to fine-tune colours or popups later, there is one settings file with examples.
How is this different from qgis2web?
qgis2web is a great free plugin, and for small maps it may be all you need. It usually sends each whole layer to the browser as GeoJSON, which gets slow once you have thousands of features. Web Map Kit exports vector tiles in a single PMTiles file, so only the part people are looking at loads: the power plant demo has 35,000 points and stays fast. You also get a modern, mobile-first design (icon markers, card popups, layer transparency) and one-click publishing to your own free hosting. qgis2web supports more QGIS styling options and lets you choose Leaflet or OpenLayers.
Is hosting really free?
For typical project maps, yes. Cloudflare's free tiers cover the tiles and the page. The guide explains the limits.
Which QGIS version?
QGIS 3.28 or newer, on Windows, macOS or Linux.
When does it launch?
Mid-October 2026. The waitlist hears first and gets the 40% discount.
